North Florida Pediatrics is a well-established pediatric primary care practice providing quality and compassionate care to patients primarily in rural communities throughout North Florida. As leaders in our local medical communities in which we serve, we pride ourselves on providing our patients with compassionate care close to home, including being the only primary care provider with weekend and extended hours in our Lake City and Chiefland locations.

North Florida Pediatrics has been accredited and certified as a Rural Health Clinic and is certified with the National Health Service Corps. We have clinics located in Lake City, Live Oak, Jasper, Cross City, Chiefland, Starke, and Jacksonville, Florida.

We are looking for a motivated, career orientated Pediatrician MD or DO to add to our already remarkable group of providers.

Job Status: Full Time Position

Job Description:

  • Provides holistic, evidence-based primary care of pediatrics, adolescent, and young adult patients ages birth- 21 years of age as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
  • Performs preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and patient care.
  • Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Monitors patients' course of treatment and makes appropriate referrals to specialists, as needed.
  • Documents delivery of healthcare in electronic health record in accordance with meaningful use requirements.
  • Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times.
  • Maintains personal and professional growth through continuing education and other opportunities

Lake City: Our medical coding specialist is responsible for entering and coding patient services into a computer system and generating invoices to be sent to the patient. Sorts and files paperwork, handles insurance claims, and performs collections duties.

Requirements: * At least three years or more of related experience * Healthcare billing experience required * Experience with analysis and problem solving * Experience with billing software systems * Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form * Ability to deal with problems involveing several concrete variables in standardized situations * Experience in physician and/or rural healthcare coding * Able to work independently. Lake City: Our medical billing specialist is responsible for processing medical claims, performing follow-up and resolution of outstanding claims and denials, submitting, correcting, and resubmitting claims and appeals, submitting statements of accounts to patients, managing billing situations and responsibg to patient and insurance company needs, and utilizing good internal customer service skills in dealing with other staff members.

Requirements: * At least one year of medical billing experience * Minimum high school diploma/GED * Must be able to function effectively with minimal supervision * Must demonstrate working knowledge with appropriate state and federal collection laws and regulations * Individual must be self-motivated, efficient, detail-oriented, organized, and computer-literate, with good people-skills * Individual should be a team player and should be able to multi-task. Now Hiring: Maintenance Technician

Sep 7, 2017

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment. The ability to perform minor and major repair of all buildings and related equipment. Regular preventive maintenance, scheduled maintenance on building including but not limited to replacing filters, broken windows, repair doors, door locks, and closets. Must maintain records of scheduled maintenance and respond to emergency maintenance requests as required. Repairs electrical equipment and refrigeration equipment. Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments, perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Must comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. 

Travel to all North Florida Pediatrics locations is expected.
